LTspice inverter noise suppression model
This article describes the process by which a heavy industry company faced inverter noise problems and requested Bee Technologies create a simulation model using LTspice to fundamentally resolve the issue. The initial request called for a general-purpose inverter model and the ability to adjust noise suppression components such as gate resistors and snubber circuits. In response, an LTspice model based on a single-phase half-bridge was provided, and a method for evaluating noise suppression using various parameters was demonstrated. Further requests included the addition of a three-phase inverter model and an EMI filter, with the corresponding files and instructions provided. Finally, in response to requests for the addition of advanced features such as incorporating actual device models, evaluating the impact of DC link capacitors, and EMI analysis using a LISN, a model capable of more detailed simulations was provided. Overall, this article illustrates the gradual deepening of noise suppression studies through simulation.
